Ideal Interfaces
Honestly, if I try to think of a perfect interface for myself, it would be just a giant digital whiteboard with sticky note piles for every conceivable concept.
I discovered the site Listography and seeing how people organize their thoughts, ideas and lists feels just like how my brain works. If I time traveled 200 years into the future and the world was super sci-fi, I'd want some JARVIS type thing that just catalogued everything I did and consumed and would remind me and update me.
"You've watched 6 episodes of this anime and you mentioned wanting to read this book before bed. I recommend doing some reading, then writing a log about the chapters you read," he'd say.
It feels like I'm entering "bubbles" and staying in those bubbles for a while, then leaving and going to a different one. A previous bubble, just a few days ago, was me listening to brand new vaporwave songs and trying to find some artists on bandcamp. I ended up buying an album and bookmarking quite a few new artists, which was really great.
Then, I left that bubble and I've been playing a new game lately and reading the wiki about all the characters and lore for like 2 days now. I haven't listened to any new vaporwave in a few days. Which is fine, I can't possibly do literally every hobby and interest every single day, there's not enough time in the day. But I'm wondering what system I should be doing.
The issue is, when enough time has passed, the bubbles get more and more distant and I forget about some interests. I don't really forget about things I need to do or anything like that, just not setting aside time for interests. But again, there's just not enough time in the day.
My ideal daily life is me just writing lists of things to do, crossing things off that list and then making a new list, repeat until I die
